Theme of the Day 9/3/16 | Gameday
Day 11 | Practice 14 – Gameday
Scrimmage – I thought our guys competed well, and I loved the physical play on both sides during our 100 plays on the field. We had some outstanding play from our QBs, with 2 of the highlights being a tremendous TD from Chad Kanoff to Scott Carpenter, and excellent run by John Lovett for another TD. Joe Rhattigan also had a 55 yd run, and Isaiah Barnes and James Frusciante had nearly a dozen catches combined. Defensively, Brannon Jones and Mike Wagner led an outstanding performance by the DL, and Mark Fossati had a terrific interception, and Rohan Hylton had two highlight tape tackles.
Tidbits – Honorary Tiger Jack Guthrie broke the team down post practice after his father Kevin ’84 (Princeton’s all time leader in receptions) gave an inspirational speech to our team. He was joined by Tiger alumni including PFA President Steve Simcox ’83, QB Bob Holly ’82 (2 super bowl rings), WR Roman Wilson ’14 , OL Dave Bocian ’92 and TE Seth DeValve ’16 (current Cleveland Brown) on the field among many in an excellent Princeton crowd.
Misc. – We continue to see our Frosh develop. I could write a few paragraphs here, but in a brief summary QB Kevin Davidson showed off his arm strength and accuracy throughout the morning, QB Zack Kelly had some tremendous athletic plays, RB Ryan Quigley ran hard, OL Reily Radosevich, Andre Guest and TE Sam Johnson all had good moments when they got 2nd string work, Jeremiah Tyler got consistent pressure on the QB and DB TJ Floyd continues to make plays. These are just a few of the guys that likely will be part of our JV scrimmage next Sunday morning.
