Theme of the Day 9/9/16 | Locked In

Day 17 | Practice 21 – We did a modified in-season practice this morning.  We spent most of the practice working on Special Teams situations and our base offense and defense vs a variety of looks.

Tidbits – For two straight nights, the Princeton Football team was at Roberts Field “enthusiastically” cheering on our Men’s and Women’s Soccer Teams.  The athletes at Princeton support each other and we always enjoy the number of other athletic teams that join us every home game.

Past & Present – Since entering Princeton in 2013 as a 210lb LB, providing depth where he could, senior Brannon Jones (Greenwood Village, CO) has morphed into a ferocious 250 lb D-Lineman that will continue to wreak havoc to Ivy-League QBs all season-long.  Last fall, Jones recorded 37 tackles and finished second on the team with 5.5 tackles for loss.  Brannon Jones looks to continue where he left, as he will play an integral role within the dominant Princeton defensive line.

In his senior year, Tim Kirby ’04 (San Mateo, CA) finished third at Princeton with 62 tackles (27 unassisted), and tied for the team lead with four sacks. Kirby had nine tackles for loss and six passes defensed, and was tied for second in the Ivy League with three forced fumbles. Kirby earned First Team All-Ivy honors, Academic All-District honors, and the Poe-Kazmaier Trophy (Team MVP).

Tim Kirby is currently the Director of LCD Business & Operations for Apple Inc.
