Ivy Champion Football Team Hosts 6th Annual Lift For Life April 27
The Princeton Chapter of Uplifting Athletes will hold its sixth annual Lift For Life event next Thursday, April 27th. Lift For Life is the signature fundraising event for the Uplifting Athletes nationwide network of college football student-athlete led chapters. The Princeton Chapter will continue its mission of using college football as a platform to inspire the rare disease community with hope through the power of sport.
The Lift For Life will take place on Frist Lawn starting at 4:45 pm, and the event is open to the public. If there is rain, the event could be moved to the following day.
The reigning Ivy League champion Tigers will be fundraising through a bench press reps competition between the offense and defense. Princeton will have additional competition events, but only the bench press will be for fundraising. Fans are encouraged to come out and support the 2017 Tiger football team as it helps bring the vision of Uplifting Athletes to life — which is to empower people to take action against rare diseases and inspire the medical community to find cures.

The challenges faced by the rare disease community are bigger than any one individual, team or organization can tackle alone. The grassroots effort of the Princeton Chapter, along with a nationwide network of teams, is uniquely positioned to educate and engage the local community and shine a spotlight on rare diseases.
The Princeton Chapter started tackling rare diseases in 2011 when it joined Uplifting Athletes. The student-athlete led Princeton Chapter serves the rare disease community in honor of Jordan Culbreath, a former Tigers running back who overcame his battle with a rare blood disorder.
