PRINCETON β Andrei Iosivas and Will Powers were named to the Phil Steele Preseason All-Americans, the organization announced today.
Iosivas was a second-team honoree while Powers was third team.
Iosivas was second team All-Ivy after leading the squad with five touchdowns in 2021. He was second on the unit with 41 catches, 703 yards receiving and 17.1 yards per catch. He was third among Ivy foes in yards, fourth in touchdowns, yards per reception and ninth in receptions. The senior also was a First-Team All-American in the heptathlon at the 2022 NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships.
Powers was outstanding for Princeton as he led the conference in net average (43.8) last season. One third of his punts were over 50 yards with nine going inside the 20-yard line.
The Tigers also had 11 members named to the Phil Steele Preseason All-Ivy teams.
Iosivas, Powers, Carson Bobo, Henry Byrd, Uche Ndukwe were first team selections while John Volker, Dylan Classi, Connor Scaglione, Jalen Travis, Liam Johnson, Michael Ruttlen Jr., were named to the second-team.
